We're hiring an Intersectionality & Inclusion Coordinator
ATX Vegans is an entirely volunteer-run community organization dedicated to making Austin *better* in every way. We are thrilled to announce that we're seeking our next event coordinator; an enthusiastic, motivated and organized volunteer who can dedicate a minimum of 5 hours per month.
The Intersectionality & Inclusion Coordinator will be responsible for organizing monthly, quarterly and annual events that specifically serve the following populations in Austin:
In addition to the above, this person will serve as an internal ATX Vegans advocate for all other events throughout the year. They/She/He will work with the organization's Executive Director and Event Coordinator to develop and enforce guidelines for inclusion for the ATX Vegans organization as a whole, and for events as they occur. They/She/He will be available for once-quarterly meetings with the ATX Vegans Management Team, which will occur on a Saturday AM most quarters, will attend the events that they/she/he organizes and be responsible for community outreach alongside other team members.

Even though this position is unpaid (we're all unpaid!), being a specialized volunteer with ATX Vegans comes with perks like free admission to all of our events, and lots of free swag, meals and other fun stuff throughout the year. ATX Vegans is currently the largest vegan organization in the South and the work you perform with us reaches large audiences, helps others, and has a big impact on our local community. We are looking to increase that impact, and need someone with the energy, time and motivation to help us do that.
